We are often asked - should the PS5 be vertical or horizontal? - The answer is it is better to be in a horizontal position. Now consider why?

As you know, instead of PS5 thermal paste, liquid metal is applied to the processor, which has a consistency similar to silver water. When working in a vertical position, the liquid metal slowly flows down and collects in the slot of the protective cover of the processor. The top of the rectangular processor remains free of liquid metal over time, and the processor crystal comes into direct contact with the cooling heatsink, causing damage to the crystal. Even if you change the liquid metal, the problem still cannot be solved because the damaged part of the crystal can no longer accept the liquid metal and it becomes necessary to polish the crystal.

If your PS5 processor gets stained, be sure to contact a service center that will have special processor polishing fluid and equipment.

Arrangement of the place:

You have to put the PS5 on its own feet. All PS5s have foot placement markers and watch which side you step on. The PS5 disc version should definitely be placed on the DVD side. On the non-disc version, take a close look at the markings, or review the instructions.

a) PS5 should be placed so that the vents are at least 20 centimeters away from the wall (or other hard surface), the back side (where the HDMI and Power cables connect) is at least 30 centimeters away from the wall.

b) HDMI and Power cables should be fixed in such a way that they do not move and do not cause damage to the ports;

c) Under no circumstances should you move the PS5 connected to the cables (move it on the table; pick it up to clean the dust on the table;)
